Hi-Five Sports Opens New Location in Mount Prospect
Raising the Game Locally on Youth Sports Entertainment
The nationally acclaimed sports program, led by professionally trained staff, announced today that it has opened in Mount Prospect. Local parents and their children no longer have to travel far or launch an exhaustive search for high-quality youth sports programming. Renowned for transforming and enriching the lives of kids ages 3-13, Hi-Five Sports is now serving families in Mount Prospect and the nearby surrounding area.
Local resident and former physical education teacher and college football player, Ian Thomas, opens the new Hi-Five Sports ready to provide an environment where life lessons such as teamwork, problem-solving and leadership — to name just a few, are taught through sports to kids at young age. Through its dynamic approach to sports, which it calls youth sports entertainment, making activities full of fun, yet challenging and inclusive of fundamentals, Hi-Five Sports has built a rock solid reputation. Now, the brand is beckoning to make the same impact in Mount Prospect.
“Developing meaningful bonds with the community is what we’re all about,” said Thomas. “The kids who come through our programs, as well as their parents, place a high value on the time spent with us. There is nothing more important than making a lasting impression on the lives of kids.”
Prior to opening his new Hi-Five Sports Camp, Thomas spent 10 years teaching physical education and coaching football and basketball throughout the North Shore and western Chicago suburbs.
“Ian is the exact type of franchisee that we were looking for in Mount Prospect,” said Ryan Tuchman, CEO of Hi-Five Sports Franchising. “His background in teaching and coaching serves as the perfect foundation for carrying on the Hi-Five Sports tradition. I am confident Ian will win over the community quickly.”
Hi-Five Sports of Mount Prospect will offer programming at Players U, an indoor sports facility located at 412 E Business Center Dr, that Thomas plays a key role in. Additionally, beyond teaching the core fundamentals of a variety of sports, such as basketball, football, baseball and soccer, in a fun entertaining way, Hi-Five Sports has an expanded set of offerings to serve an even larger audience. It has developed year-round programs for all ages, which include:
- Hi-Five Annual Multi-Sport Summer Camps
- Little Ballers, Lil’ Heismen and Tot Trifecta
- Day-Off School Camps
- Birthday Parties
- Flag Football Leagues and Clinics
- After School Enrichment Programs
Founded as a sports camp in 1990 in Northbrook, Illinois, Hi-Five Sports took Chicagoland by storm, quickly becoming the undisputed champion of premium youth sports in the area.
